Germany's
Type XXI U-boat, introduced at the end of
WWII, was the first "true submarine." Equipped with a snorkel
for its diesel engines, air conditioning, advanced hydrophones,
and hydrodynamic streamlining, it could operate submerged
continuously and influenced postwar
submarine design for decades.
War Fish Models' Type XXI
offers a replica with museum scale detail. Produced from
masters created by Doug Badgley and Matt
Thor, this impressive
kit accurately duplicates the sleek lines of the original
with detailed deck and conning tower, gun turrets, scribed
torpedo shutters and flood openings.

Kit
details were engineered with the R/C modeler in mind. The
two piece epoxy GRP hull simplifies assembly and ensures a
robust model. Control
surface mounting and linkage arrangement is prefabricated
to ensure quick and relaible results. The ample interior dimensions
enable easy installation of your ballast system of choice.
