ASSEMBLY - Floods & Drains

1.
Begin by opening up the MBT floods
in the lower hull. These are scribed into the hull on
either side. Verify their correct location and configuration
with your reference material (there are a total of 62).
Using 3M masking tape, mask the edges to provide a guide
and to protect the rest of the hull.

2.
Using a drill, or a Dremel tool with a suitable grinding
bit, open up each MBT flood. Be careful not to grind or
drill too close to the scribed line. |

3.
Use small modeler's files to open the drains out to the
scribing. Take your time as the job done here will greatly
enhance the aesthetic appeal of your model. |

4.
Verify the location of the scribed drain openings betwee
the torpedo tube doors. Using a **" bit, drill a
starter hole in the openings. |

5.
Open up the drains with a small rat tail file. |
